Peter Bluett

Architect & Chartered Engineer (Fire) / Director

Peter Bluett, Architect / Chartered Engineer (Fire) / Conservation Architect (RIAI GII), is a Graduate of DIT and Trinity College, Dublin. He has a Masters Degree in Fire Engineering from the University of Central Lancashire.

He is past  President of the Institution of Fire Engineers (Irish Branch).

Peter has contributed to the RIAI Journal Architecture on Fire Safety Design and assists the RIAI with fire  related CPD for the architectural profession and related topics. He  has  lecturer on fire engineering at DIT. Peter also sat as Architect representative  on the National  Fire Safety Task Force  established on 27 June 2017 in the aftermath of the Grenfell Tower fire tragedy in London and the TGD B updates steering group.

Peter also provides a expertise sensitively integrating  conservation of historic buildings and protected structures  with  fire engineering,  universal access & egress.

Peter’s experience includes

  • Reports and inspections in particular in relation to Fire Safety and Building Regulations and safety of existing buildings.

Internal Referrals: Peter provides a service to Colleagues within the Office on Fire Safety,  Disability Access design  and Health and  Safety  matters.
